Licensed Professional Counselor-MHSP (temp)

Hannah is a LPC-MHSP, and has her temporary license. She received her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Hannah is currently working towards licensure as a Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider under the supervision of Mary Payne, PhD and Holli Turriglio, LPC-MHSP. She strives to create a safe, supportive, confidential, and non-judgmental atmosphere.

Hannah takes a holistic approach to counseling and believes that it is important to address all areas of an individual’s life. Her work focuses on utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She also utilizes solution-focused and strength-based techniques within the counseling room. She hopes to help empower her clients to feel more in control of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors by working with the client in determining individualized treatment needs and goals. Hannah is in the process of training for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma treatment.

Hannah’s specialities include: working with families and couples, divorce, anxiety, and depression.

Hannah also works with a variety of mental health problems such as mood disorders, behavioral issues, coping skills, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and conflict resolution. She enjoys working with teens, adults, families, and couples. When working with couples she does a lot of communication work. When working with families Hannah does a lot of dynamic work and parenting skills. Her past job experiences include employment as a therapeutic foster care case worker, and a domestic violence counselor.

In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her two dogs, CrossFit, traveling, and hiking.
