Dr. Blonder is a licensed psychologist. She received her doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and completed a Postdoctoral Internship in the Shelby County School system in Memphis, TN. Dr. Blonder specializes in working with children and adolescents to address a variety of
behavioral, social, and emotional concerns. Her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, behavior concerns, school/academic issues, and social skills training. Dr. Blonder strives to build a therapeutic relationship with her clients based on
empathy, collaboration, and trust.
Dr. Blonder helps clients gain insight and achieve change through a cognitive-behavioral
therapeutic approach. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is founded on the principal that
one’s thoughts significantly impact emotional and behavioral responses to life situations.
Dr. Blonder enjoys working collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful ways of
thinking of unhelpful patterns of behaviors that may be causing distress.
As a school psychologist, Dr. Blonder has years of experience working with children and
parents from a wide variety of socioeconomic, educational, and cultural backgrounds. Dr.
Blonder offers brief emotional or behavioral screeners to provide diagnostic impressions
that may guide therapeutic focus. Dr. Blonder also offers Organizational Skills Training for
children diagnosed with ADHD who may be struggling to manage the organizational
demands of school.
Dr. Blonder is training to become a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
provider. PCIT is an evidence-based treatment to address disruptive behaviors in young
children. Dr. Blonder enjoys working with families to strengthen parent-child relationships
and to empower parents with skills they can use with their family in any setting.
In her free time, Dr. Blonder enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, cycling,
reading, and traveling to new places.
