Jasmine Madden is a Licensed Professional Counselor-MHSP (temp). She received her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Orlando Florida. Jasmine specializes in treating individuals from a holistic “whole person” approach while helping individuals navigate through life’s changes and assisting those who feel stuck in negative cycles. Her approaches are tailored to meet the specific needs of each client while creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and peaceful space for transparency.
Jasmine takes a holistic approach to counseling and believes that it is important to address all areas of life including physical, mental, social and spiritual. Her practice is strongly rooted in the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) belief that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are directly related to one another. She uses a variety of CBT techniques to help her clients feel more in control of what they think, how they act and how they feel.
Jasmine’s specialties and areas of interest include: working with teen girls and young adults/college-aged, anxiety, depression, developmental challenges, adjustment and stage of life, and social anxiety. She also works with clients on trauma, self-discovery, and college readiness.
In the counseling room Jasmine works to address and facilitate healing from issues such as behavioral problems, coping skills, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, self-esteem, communication, bullying, transitions, conflict resolution, and issues specifically relating to women and young girls.
Jasmine has many year of experience working with children and parents as her job experience includes employment as a preschool and elementary school teacher working with children and adolescents across various demographics, educational levels, and intellectual abilities.
In her spare time Jasmine enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, getting in a daily workout, traveling to new locations, and working with a local children’s ministry.
