Meredith is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (temp). She received her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling with a speciality in Marriage & Family Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Her counseling approach involves empathy, humor, and building the therapeutic alliance. Meredith believes that the client should set the pace for counseling.
Meredith sees individuals (teens and up), couples, and families. Her areas of interest include: anxiety, depression, communication and social skills, self-esteem, grief, trauma, conflict resolution, boundary work, and coping skills. When working with couples and families Meredith works on emotional and communication issues, adjustment issues, and divorce.
Meredith uses aspects of emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and family systems theory when working with couples, families, and individuals. Each of these theories allows for the client to recognize patterns, boundaries, and more to help heal and strengthen their relationships. She believes that the relationships in one’s life play a major role, and can shape who we are. Clients from all backgrounds, the LGBTQ+ community, and cultures are welcome in her office!
In her free time Meredith likes to spend time with her family & friends. She also enjoys spending time and going on hikes with her dog Winston.
