Alyssa’s Approach to Therapy
Treatment with Alyssa is informed by her beliefs that each individual is their own best expert and everyone is doing the best they can. When you meet with Alyssa, she gets to know you and what you would like to get out of therapy. She believes it is important for clients to be the pilot of their own journey as she works as a catalyst for change by your side. In her background of working with young children, she has noticed that it is crucial to work with caregivers to create a sense of empowerment and increase abilities. This is so children are able to continue their growth at home. Defiance, behavioral issues, anxiety, and OCD are often family affairs. She takes a transparent, collaborative, strength based, and teaching approach to your time together. She likes to help you leave feeling empowered, hopeful, and more resilient for the next challenges you may stumble upon in your path.
