Dr. Wilson’s Approach to Therapy
Dr. Wilson is a therapist with temporary licensure under supervision serving clients in Cool Springs, Tennessee. Dr. Wilson helps people build emotional resilience by cultivating emotional safety, reducing shame, and welcoming imperfection as part of the healing process. She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can heal, grow, and feel understood.
With more than 10 years of experience as a school counselor, and additional training in family counseling and clinical therapy, Dr. Wilson provides culturally affirming, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate care. She works with children, teens, adults, and couples navigating a variety of challenges, including anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, relationship or communication difficulties, and trauma recovery. Dr. Wilson is especially passionate about supporting clients with diverse cultural and social identities, including Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), LGBTQ+ individuals, and first- and second-generation Americans.
This fall, Dr. Wilson will begin advanced clinical training in The Gottman Method Couples Therapy, a research-based approach that helps couples understand the root causes of conflict, improve communication, and strengthen emotional connection.
Her work is grounded in authenticity, cultural humility, and connection, supporting each client as they explore how their unique life experiences shape the way they connect with others and view the world.
Above all, Dr. Wilson’s goal is to help each client experience greater joy, contentment, and ease—in themselves, their relationships, and their daily lives.
