Mindfulness for Teens Winter 2019 Flyer

Our Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T) groups teach stress-reduction skills to adolescents. During the 8-session course, teens will use the techniques of mindfulness to intentionally focus awareness and observations of their own emotions and behaviors from moment to moment. Instead of reacting mindlessly we respond mindfully. Instead of revolting with aggression, we evolve to discern behavior and to choose nonviolence. Instead of feeling disconnected or helpless, we find everything we do reflects the connection of our personal lives to all others.

The objective of practicing mindfulness is to develop and strengthen one’s ability to pay attention, and to be aware of the consequence of one’s feelings and behavior.

Program cost is $625 and includes:

  • 8 weekly, 90-minute sessions
  • Course Manual
  • Audio (in MP3 form) of meditation scripts

MBSR-T for high school students:

This group is based on the Stressed Teens program created by Gina Biegel MA, LMFT. Leaders of this group have been certified as MBSR-T instructors.
