Social Skills Groups

Our social skills groups are designed to teach and practice age-appropriate social skills in a safe and supportive environment. Group leaders introduce and model skills. Participants then practice then while healthy peer and facilitator feedback is provided.

A variety of skills may be covered and we do our best to tailor these to the needs of each group and its unique members. Skills may include:

  • Communication Skills
  • Listening Skills
  • Joining In/Being Part of a Group
  • Dealing with Bullies
  • Being a Good Friend
  • Problem Solving/Asking for Help
  • Being Assertive/Managing Conflict
  • Expressing Feelings

Groups are most often separated by members’ grade level.

  • Elementary: K-2
  • Elementary 3-5
  • Middle:6-8
  • High: 9-12 (if appropriate, we will separate 9-10 and 11-12).

Social skills groups are typically 45-minutes and the cost is $60 per group.
